Conservas Albo was founded in 1869 in Santoña, one of the most important fishing ports on the Cantabrian shore. Founder by Carlos Albo Kay, an outstanding man with multi-faceted knowledge who was an English, French, and mathematics teacher. The company began producing small quantities of salted and pickled anchovies in an artisan style.
